Josh, how will playoffs work and what day are they going to be scheduled for? Hopefully all on one day like last season.

Guys, I apologize. I`ve been dealing with some issues and a new job and my communications have been lacking this Spring.

Yes, most likely playoffs for Sunday mornings will be a 1 day event, like the past couple seasons. I`m shooting to have the playoff schedule up this week.

It`s tough. A team could be the best in the league but without enough depth they will not win it all. Tournament teams are not always the same as your regular season team. Kind of sucks.

Are mitches out here complaining about playing the playoffs all in one day? SMH. Man up. Ballers ball.

Eh, we`ve done it that way for a couple seasons now and I think it has it`s benefits. Not certain I can pull it off yet, need to look at field space.

Keep that ish on 1 day, Josh. Fellas need to man up. A league is like tourney play anyway. Competitive teams are used to playing multiple games in a day anyway. There are no flukes, and the team that comes out on top earns their `Ship. Put all the teams in also. Battle Royal style, dude.

Play offs outtt

So, doing the math and looking at number of games and field slots I have, we can`t do both "A" and "B" all in one day. What I might do, is play all of the "A" playoffs on one day and run the first couple games of "B" the first week and finish the next. Since we have 10 "B" teams, the last 4 seeds would play essentially a play-in game. We could run those the first week and the rest of the "B" playoffs the next week.

This is a joke, right? Its one week from the playoffs and you dont know when the playoffs will be played?

Josh, you do realize many people have vacations planned, time off, etc.....and now are at the mercy of your decision on how to run the playoffs (one day vs multiple days).

This has been one of the worst seasons, from an organizational standpoint. Maybe you should think about a backup person or helper, if you are too busy. The lack of organization is borderline embarrassing.

Josh hasn`t done a perfect job but I can`t name a Commisioner who has; he`s done a great job given all the circumstances & I`d love to see some of you MOFOs do it given the same situation, YOU WOULD CRUMBLE UNDER THE PRESSURE...

As of May 27, playoffs was going to be a one day event. Not sure of that day though?!?!, wtf??? Then 2 days later, May 29, it turns into a multi day event. Still no dates though?

Just because your life seems to revolve around flag football, it doesn`t mean everyone else`s does.

Its not much to ask for a schedule. If you recall, there wasn`t even a schedule past week 2 at the begining of the season, now no schedule for playoffs a week or two before thier start.

Bottom line, this is very disorganized.

A playoffs will all be on June 15th along with play in games for B. The rest of the B playoff games will finish on June 22nd. This is what Josh said and it is a great schedule! Good job Josh, let the haters hate.

What`s really up with playoffs??? I see games next week that are playoffs & some that are regular season, wtf?

When do A playoffs actually start?

Next week. I don`t have fields on 6/15 for Sunday mornings right now (County wide Father`s Day Soccer tourney) so the way the schedule sits right now, the 0800 game of BadBoyz vs ScarFace will settle the 1,2 and 3 seeds and the 0900 of BadBoyz vs Rebels will settle 5 and 6. Since I`ll have 1,2,7 and 8 locked in at 0900 we`ll start the first round with those games and then finish the first round at 1000. We`ll do the Final Four on 6/22. That gives us time to get shirts/trophies in so it works out a little better. Then I should have the seeding finished for the "B" playoffs by 0900, so we`ll play the 7 v 10 and 8 v 9 play-in games. I`m trying to get a couple extra slots with the county and finish up "B" playoffs on or before 6/22 as well. Sunday night should wrap up by 6/15 at the latest. I know this season has been a little rough, and I do want to apologize. Giving both Memorial Day and ******`s Day off was a mistake. I also had to do some scrambling when I had 2 teams join late. Several lessons learned this season and they`re mistakes I won`t make again. If anyone ever actually wants to talk to me about this, I always welcome the feedback. I hope you all know that I do love this league and I always want to improve. I`m not perfect, but I do try and I`m always willing to listen.

Just checking...but 3 of the current bottom 4 teams have games at E C Lawrence on Sunday, and then the play in games start at 10 at Lake Fairfax. So will the teams have to play a game in Centreville, then immediately have to drive to Reston to play their playoff play-in game?

who is gonna play the postseason games for B ??? What seeds will play ?

The B playoff games at Lake Fairfax start at 1000. All the B games at ECL are done at 0900. That gives an hour to travel between fields.

7 will play 10 and 8 will play 9. Unfortunately none of the seeds are set yet, but I`ll map out the potential situations tomorrow.
