Games for tomorrow, 10/21 at Hook Road are cancelled due to standing water on the field. We`ll post the make up dates later this week.

Actually the entire field was dry at Hook with no water puddles at all. A few guys were at the field, and it was dry as a bone. Not sure where you got the soak field information from but it was very inaccurate.

I was standing on it at 7 PM on Saturday night.

And to be fair, it could have been dry Sunday morning by game time (I doubt it), but I had to make a decision then. I was there to line the field, there was standing water, the sun was going down and there was no wind. I also have to consider the potential for someone to injure themselves as well as the fact that we want to try and maintain a good standing with the Reston Association. On top of that, I try to get a decision to you, the players, with plenty of notice so you don`t waste your time driving to a cancelled game. I also spoke with Carlton before cancelling make sure we could get the makeups in to his crews schedules.

I want the games to play on schedule, I hope you realize that. All cancelling those games did for me was create more work.
