ALL IFFL GAMES FOR SUNDAY AUGUST 28TH HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO FIELD CONDITIONS AND WEATHER.

I hate wet grass and cloudy weather.

Coach`s we might had been able to play the games but the county had left the water sprinklers on at Herndon and the field was to wet and we did not know when the sprinklers of if they would be turned off today.

Look at the bright side...my wife made me do yard work instead! See you all in two weeks.

That was a good idea leaving the sprinklers on, you know with a huricane coming and everything.

thats it.. im telling EA sports to come up with a flag football game and during the rain outs.. we play online!! .. either that or take over mason`s turf field

Dulles Sportsplex is open and they are usually empty on Sundays.

We should play at E.C. Lawrence field in Centreville. They got a new turf field that is sick. They got like pieces of rubber in it so its soft and doesn`t cause the knee injuries that so many turf fields do. May want to look into playing some games there in upcoming seasons.

Do the FieldTurf fields have goal posts... the ones in Arlington do not.

Yeah, the field turf fields DO have goalposts. They play the SYA youth football games there on Sundays. Would definitely be a good idea to look into playing at E.C. Lawrence.

SYA plays games at old Redskin Park. Is that called EC Lawrence or is it another field?

E.C. is located further south on the right hand side of route 28.I think it is the light before the intersection of 50 and 28.

Some SYA games are played at Redskins Park, but the majority have been played at E.C. Lawrence. It is located right of 28. If you are traveling south towards manassas, its on the right hand side between the intersection of Westfields BLVD and Braddock Rd. Or bigger picture, it`s along 28, between route 50 and route 29.

We have had some discussions on using that field and signs point to yes. More details to come in the future. Thanks!!
