Can anyone tell what happended during all the games? Who and how people scored?

Fighting Chickens (16) vs. Playmakers (1)
A lot of back and forth in the first half with not much offense... a couple of punts and a failed fourth down conversion by the Chickens and a punt and INT by the Playmakers. Finally, just before halftime, the Playmakers toasted the Chickens on a post route - about 60 yards for the TD, but they missed the extra point.
6-0, Playmakers.
After a few more good defensive possessions by both teams to start the 2nd half, the Playmakers were forced to punt and the ball was returned past midfield, giving the Chickens their best field position of the day. A few plays later, a WR got loose to catch a ball near the front left pylon in the endzone. Extra point was good.
7-6 Chickens.
The Playmakers received the kickoff and were moving the ball effectively until a quick dump to a lineman was picked off by the Chickens LB and returned to midfield. With about 1:30 left, the Chickens were able to run for a first down on 3rd & 15, sealing the victory.
It was a fun game & we look forward to seeing the Playmakers next year.

Lions got the ball first, and a batted ball ended up getting picked. We only move the ball a couple of yards, so settled for a field goal.
Our next possession, we went deep on a double move, but the Lions quickly countered with a nice roll-right/throw left play that went well over 50 yards.
Our D line made a huge play as time was running down to sack their qb to essentially end the half.
The Lions moved the ball pretty well, and scored on a play where Nidal pulled a Steve Young: he must have made people miss 12 times, and ran one in.
With just over a minute, on 4th and goal from the 15ish, we hit a man in the back of the endzone. The Lions got into field goal range, but missed.
Prolly more info than you wanted, but, there it is.

MacDaddies barely beat the Skins. Skins scored first burning them for a 70 yard TD. MacDaddies scored before halftime to make it 7-6. Skins had another long TD called back on a bogus holding call. MacDaddies scored again after the refs called another bad penalty to give them first and goal but the Skins were driving for the tieing TD late in the game when MacDaddies intercept a tipped ball and then they ran out the clock and escaped with the win.

With allof the Lazy Sunday Playaz -- yelling and screaming at the Macd`s -- All of this while the COMMISH was right there watching. The REFS did nothing and the COMMISH did nothing. I was enjoying watching most of the games -- but that was an embarrasment to the League.
No wonder everyone says Lazy gets all the benefits -- I would have expected the Commish to step up and quiet his team up.
I will say they didn`t do any talking during their game with the Wolverines - except that one short guy -- I think #33 -- He seems to be the instigator. Especially after the game - all he did was yell at the other team...
I would think ROB - AS THE COMMISH - has a responsiblity to control his team...??? Just a thought.

I couldn`t believe that the refs allowed this kind of bickering on the sidelines from a team that wasn`t even playing.
Someone needed to step up -- ROB / REFS -- and control the trash talking.
It was apparent that the Lazy`s only intention was to get the MACD`S off there game.
Someone needs to make sure this doens`t happen in the future - It didn`t happen this time, but this kind of thing can lead to something more than yelling --

ROB-AS THE COMMISH- did tell us to cut it out. The jawing with the Mac D`s was started by 1 of thier players while we were playing. The refs also made a request that we either quiet down or leave the field. Get all the facts then speak on the issue. As far as the Mac D`s, we have no problems with any of them and they know it. It was all in good fun.

To start up trouble. I enjoy watching you all play - but that really wasn`t the type of sportsmanship -- that I think you should be showing...
If it was all done in fun -- then fine -- but I heard rumblings of fighting and what not??? Not sure if that would have been done in fun as well?

#33 told 1 of them he was not going to fight anybody. I talked to them during the injury t/o and after the game. They said it was fun for them also. No bad blood between us at all.

Just my 2 cents - I was watching the Macd`s Game from the sideline -- and I can Vouch for what Sef81 - said.
I heard Rob & the Big Ref on the sidelines tell the TALKERS -- to quiet down.
And it did for most of the rest of the game..
We lost to Lazy earlier in the day -- and yes the little guy (corner #33- Dre??) he certainly does talk non stop during the game -- but he does it in fun - Not in a mean/trash way...Good Luck the rest of the way...

If you talked to them during the Injuy TO -- the Macdaddy`s already had the game WON -- Of course they aren`t going to be mad at that point.
But if they were losing -- then they might have felt differently about your trash talking...And that is when it turns into something more..
But I was there and there were rumblings of a possible fight - so don`t say that didn`t happen...
Lazy & Macd`s -- will both attest to the fact that fighting came up....in the trash talking...whether it was going to happen - who knows? But fighting did come up -- and we dont need that in this league...

Yes we were at fault at first one of our players mouthed of at #23 or 33 for talking trash, we then told our player to shut it and mind his business we should have never commented against Lazy to begin with. As soon as the game started #23/33 started heckling the entire 1st half, towards either the end of the first half or beginning of second I`m guessing someone finally said something to this player. It was a little rediculous but what to do, some people just don`t know how or when to shut up. Unfortunately the kind of banter that was being put out is the kind that can eventually lead to something else. In the future I would suggest that Rob or anyone running the league or the officials if present step in and handle the situation. As for Mac D and Lazy we don`t have any problems and hope to get a chance to see them down the road to play our game out not to run our mouths. Once again from the Mac D we wish you all good luck...

Usually there are only fights when My Plumber is involved, and it`s after the game when they turn into huge idiots.
Too much "men being men" happens, and people forget they are just playing flag football. Most of the talkers in this league are losers in the game of life, and need to boost themselves up through flag football.

It was #33, and he is usually quiet and only talks to our team unless some one says something to him. As far as the fight thing, he told some one that he wasn`t fighting anybody.
as far as the loser comment, hiding behind a keyboard and calling names... Guess who?

Sef is correct, little man did tell one of our guys that he wasn`t trying to fight. With that being said it`s over and done with, lets move on, I must say there were some great games yesterday, I can say the Rekskins were not an easy win in any way, the dudes will be good with some more organization, we gave away an early score but as we`ve been able to do as of late we didn`t break, I`m hoping to continue this one and I know we face a strong team this coming week and we are looking forward to playing the Rhinos key emphasis on PLAYING...LOL...I`m sure the Rhinos know what I mean...good luck to you all...

it is obvious the people who are always on this messageboard bashing teams that have had success in the northern virginia leagues are the one`s who are wannabes. they wannabe winners and the only way they can make themselves look good is to try and make the successful teams look bad. the people who say, oh stop acting like we`re getting paid this ain`t the nfl, blah blah blah, are the ones need to chill. the teams that win and have done so for a sustained period win because they compete hard and take this **** seriously. i definitely play for fun, but you know what is fun, WINNING. not being an ass and winning at all costs or that stuff, but competing hard playing to win. if someone gets on here and talks about how they had a good game and what not, next thing is everyone letting loose about how that guy has a complex. the ones shouting from the bleachers are the ones with the complex. they aren`t even a good enough athlete to have a good game in what is supposed to be a recreational flag football league, so when someone has success or is a good player, they immediately try and tear that guy down. enough ranting, my point is, nidal, all the lions for that matter, my plumber, 52, TO, dude from who next, whoever is being hated on in here, don`t worry, dudes are jealous and that is all there is to it.
