I think 7 yards is the magic number when comes to flag football. If it`s 4th and 7, can you convert on offense or stop it on defense. Most of the good teams can say yes to both. 5 yards is too easy for the offense and 10 yards is too easy for the defense.

;	7 yards is the perfect number. If you can get 7 yards a play you cannot lose (penalties not withstanding).

;	how did 7 yards become 5? Thats a big difference. 7 yards a play and you cannot lose. That is why IMHO offenses in this league arent all that smart and let defenses get away with soft zones. Here is a tip: most teams in this league will give you the 7 yard pass, at least to start with. TAKE IT!!!!
