 subject: "Is it fair?"
Curious

First of all, congrats to all teams on a great season! I am not bitter, but I do have a question? Does anyone else think it is fair that an A Team, that does not do well in their division, gets the opportunity to still play for a championship in a lower division. The B teams have worked very hard to get where they are, and not to say that a lower A team WILL actually beat them, but i just dont see the fairness of them even getting to play in our division. Any thoughts?..............the only way I can see this being fair, is IF a "B" Team goes up against an "A" Team for the Championship, and wins, then that B team should automatically be bumped up to A and the A be bumped back down to B the following season. Since they obviously proved they play on that level. Is that how it works?

Huh?

I`ve never understood this argument. First, although there is a big difference between the top of A and the top of B and then the top of C, the bottom of A isn`t far from the top of B and the bottom of B isn`t far from the top of C. This isn`t some amazing mismatch in either direction. Second, every team is guarenteed eight games. A got 7 in the regular season and one postseason game while B got 8 regular season games. Yes one A game is postseason but they`ve got to win to keep playing past that just like you did. Lastly, you`re one of two people most likely. Either you`re someone who didn`t get to go the playoffs and is pissed off or you someone who has to play one of the A teams in the playoffs. If you missed the playoffs, I`m sorry, but you had 8 games to pull it out and the rules were established at the beginning. Next time win more and you won`t be sitting at home butt hurt. If your team has to play an A team, stop b*tching and win. These teams aren`t the best teams in the league. They are borderline A/B teams just like most other teams in this playoff. Go win a d*mn game!

This has been addressed numerous times on the board. For the 10th time, to summarize:

Imagine 2 Open divisions of 10 where the top 8 play in the A playoffs, and the next 8 in B.

Well, that`s exactly what we have - except the teams get the benefit of more evenly matched regular season play.

I`ll take it a step further and say some of the teams who played in A wanted to (and justifiably could) play in B but did me a favor and signed up for A to balance out the numbers.

Also (as someone else pointed out in a previous thread) - teams who played in B this Fall beat teams who played in A this Fall during the Spring league.

Don`t get too hung up on the "A" and "B" labels. Just because a team plays in "A" don`t suddenly make them capable of beating every team in "B" (see above).

Quit your crying!! Jeez, you finally win one game and now you`re upset cause you have to play a good team like Vegas Nights. Get over yourself... you were lucky to get by United, now try and lose with some dignity for once.

Not that it matters, but this guy is not on Chuck Norris. We played Vegas Nights last Spring in the playoffs. If your going to try and impersonate someone from a team, you may want check their schedule first you window licker.
United played a great game and we`re looking forward to another challenge against VN. Good luck to everyone in the playoffs.

but what the hell is a "window licker"... Cuz if we are combining silly nouns with crude verbs, I much prefer "fart knocker!"

A "window licker" is that person you see in the window of a bus or car licking the window. Usually has on a helmet.

is not A teams in B playoffs but veteran teams (Penatrators, United, Mutiny) who refuse to move up to A.

Good luck squeezing 13 teams into 10 openings.

Also, please define "veteran." CN and GR have been around for years, are they veteran?

Hey "The real issue," neither of those 3 teams `refused` to move up to A. Nice try though, go back to spanking it in the basement of your parents house.
