Do all teams make the playoffs, and if not how many? and When do they begin?

Still Curious

I apologize if this question has already been answered somewhere else and that’s why it’s being ignored here, but I’m still curious. Can someone please answer the questions above regarding the novice playoffs? THANKS.

I think all novice teams compete for the playoffs. This is a quote from one of Tom`s earlier posts:

"Novice week 6 will be 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6. The standings after those games will determine the final playoff seedings 1-6 for Novice (C) playoffs, 4 games on 10/22 (play-in, play-in, semi, semi) and the championship on 10/29.

Novice week 7 (10/15) will include games against Open teams (VA or MD)."

Doesn`t 1 vs 2 defeats the purpose of trying to have a good season record?

I`ll get this stuff pinned today at some point.

Novice playoffs are:
3 vs 6, winner plays 2 (semifinal)
4 vs 5, winner plays 1 (semifinal)

3/6/2 team left vs. 4/5/1 team left for championship

Games this weekend are NOT playoff games. Playoffs start 10/22.

Does this weekend`s game affect the standings for the playoff seedings?

E.G.

So say 1 beats 2 and 3 beats 4, most likely 3 will bump up to 2 and 2 down to 3.

Yes, these games count in the standings.

3 cannot move into the 2-slot, even if they win and 2 loses (head to head is the first tie-breaker when all teams tied have played each other).

4 and 5 will play each other in the first round, so even if those teams change position in the standings after Sunday they will still play each other.

First round playoff games are essentially set. The only thing that might change is who is 1 and who is 2 (if 2 beats 1 in a blow out).

Why are you crying?
They do the best job they can. If you have a better way to do it, why not suggest it for next season.

Damn, I am sick of seeing you babies posting whiney messages.

So let me get this straight...The Demons who are winless to date and have scored nine points have the opportunity to run the table and win the novice division? How sweeeeeet it is. Overrated we`re coming for you.

Mr. Fatman in little Coat, I have to assume that you play for the Demmons. I must say that we definitely got a wake up call our last game against you guys. I definitely wish you guys the best of luck in the playoffs and if we are to meet again, we shall see if we really woke up or not. If for some unknown reason you do not play for the Demmons, let yourself be known so when we do play again and you win, we can congradulate you personaly. Just do yourself a favor and don`t plan any trips to Vegas any time soon! Until then...
